The Match.com application for Android follows up on the success of Match.com mobile apps developed for BlackBerry, Palm Pre/Pixi, iPhone™ and iPod touch users making it easier for singles to search for and view matches, wink at members, and access their favorite site features (see also Match.com).

Users Can Now Placeshift Media from Their PC to These Portable Devices

Android beats iPhone for US mobile Web usage. (LIES, DAMN LIES AND STATISTICS)

According to data from mobile ad network AdMob, mobiles with Google's Android operating system generated more mobile Web traffic than users on Apple's iPhone in the US this March.

Android accounted for 46% of US mobile Web traffic, while the iPhone only secured 39%, a big feat for the operating system.

However, globally the iPhone is still winning out with 46% of the world market while Android only has a 22% market share.

AdMob also found:

- Global mobile Web traffic increased 18% from February.

- While there were 34 Android devices available in March, 11 of these accounted for 96% of all Android traffic.

- 54% of Android traffic came from devices with a QWERTY keyboard.

- The iPhone 3GS, 3G and iPod touch generated 84% of the iPhone OS traffic.
